Trivia:
--Squeaky was abandoned as a kitten and found by Julie Peasley
in the Echo Park SPCA. One day Julie was unable to find a sitter
for the insecure cat, who could not be left alone. She took Squeaky
in a backpack while shopping for clocks at the Burkank Ikea. The
kitten crawled out of the backpack and was spotted by a talent
scout from Purina. Squeaky was hired on the spot to star in a
commercial, but the commercial was nixed in mid-production when
an entire Purina marketing department got laid off. But Squeaky
had an agent by this time, who landed Squeaky the coveted "Kitten
Morris" role in "VH1's The Rise and Fall of Morris The
Cat", and the rest is history.
--The pressures of being a kitten actor got to Squeaky, and he
spent all of 2001 in the Betty Ford Clinic For Cats, for a catnip
and alcohol dependency. He has been working clean and sober ever
since, and his career has taken a meteoric rise that seems to
have no end.
--Squeaky was knighted by HRH Queen Elizabeth II in 2002 for
his 2000 portrayal of MC Horatio in "Hamlet: The Hip Hop
Years."
--While in a catnip
withdrawal delerium at the Betty Ford Clinic for Cats, Squeaky
penned the lyrics to "The Theme To The Bird Cage II".
The lyrics were smuggled out to the producers by a sympathetic
orderly. She lost her job after she was thanked for her deed in
Squeaky's acceptance speech at the 2002 Grammy awards. It is rumored
that Squeaky and the orderly were romantically involved, in Betty
Ford and since.
--Squeaky was voted number one in "20 Fresh Faces to Watch
in 2002" by Cat Fancy magazine.
--Squeaky worked with director Werner Herzog to invent the "Cat
Cam", a device that is now an industry standard. Squeaky
and Herzog shared the academy award for technical achievement
in 2005.
--Squeaky loves charity work and, when in town, spends several
evenings a month feeding hot meals to drunks in a downtown Los
Angeles men's shelter.
